Actor Jeff Goldblum died while filming a movie in New Zealand early this morning - June 25, 2009. Preliminary reports from New Zealand Police officials indicate that the actor fell more than 60 feet to his death on the Kauri Cliffs while on-set. Specific details are not yet available. Police say three men wielding knives mugged Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament outside an Atlanta recording studio late last month. Ament suffered a head wound. Surveillance cameras caught the incident but no arrests have been made.

Child welfare officials are scrambling to find foster homes for dozens of girls removed from a secretive West Texas religious retreat built by polygamist leader Warren Jeffs after a 16-year-old living there complained of physical abuse.
